The Ostrich (Struthio camelus - meaning 'camel-like') is the worlds largest flightless bird which is native to the savannas and grasslands of South Africa. Ostriches are omnivorous and will eat almost anything they can find.

The Emu is a large, tough flightless bird found in many parts of Australia and New Guinea. Emus are quite vocal birds and their vocalizations include a loud booming noise which is created by an inflatable neck sac.
